Lawrence, KS November 26, 2019 – The Lawrence Humane Society has been selected as the December beneficiary in the Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program supporting local non-profits.
The Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program, which launched in November 2019, facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities customers live and work. The LHS was selected as the December beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hy-Vee located on Clinton Parkway.
The LHS will receive a $1 donation every time a $2.50 red “My Heart” Reusable Bag is purchased at this location during December, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“One dollar at a time, Hy-vee’s Reusable Bad program will help save and change the lives of animals in northeast Kansas,” said Michael LaFave, Director of Development & Communications for the LHS. “The Lawrence Humane Society goes the extra mile to provide every animal with the second chances at homes, health and happiness they all deserve and we’re so excited that Hy-vee customers will be delivering those second chances throughout the month of December.”
