Gather your friends and family for good fun and great food ... and help raise money for the Douglas County Animal Response Team (DCART). DCART, owned and operated by the Lawrence Humane Society, was formed in 2009 to respond to animals who become victims of natural or manmade disasters. Funds are needed for supplies and operating costs to enable DCART volunteers to take immediate action and offer complete aid to animals when disaster strikes.
YOU CAN HELP! From Sunday, June 13, through Sunday, June 20, you can go Bowling for DCART at Royal Crest Lanes (three games for $10; includes shoes). Half of all proceeds during that week will go to DCART! You do not need to bring a flyer or coupon, but you must tell the check-in clerk you are “bowling for DCART.”
And ... stop in next door at Wayne & Larry’s Sports Bar & Grill for some great food. During this special week (June 13-20) Wayne & Larry’s will donate 15 percent of your food/beverage purchase to DCART. The Wayne & Larry's "ticket" from our Dine Out flyer must accompany your purchase.
