Newest Executive Director Kate Meghji gets highlighted in the “Only in Lawrence” LJWorld Series. Here she shares some of her vision, “A lot of people assume an animal shelter is a sad, scary place, that we’re a doggy jail. And that’s not who we are at all,” she said. “We provide the service of taking in these animals, but that’s such a small part of our identity. ASPCA Blog Inspires LHS Canine Enrichment Improvements

ASPCApro wrote a blog entry that highlighted Canine Feeding Enrichment ideas, and we took notice! Staff member and Canine Behavouralist-In-Training Ethan H. put together some of the suggested “PVC Feeders” and shot a video to show the results! “Lorenzo” loves it, and so do our other dogs!
