Kitty City at Lawrence Arts Center

The Lawrence Arts Center is once again partnering with the Lawrence Humane Society to bring kittens into the gallery! Kitty City is a fanciful cityscape visible from outside the arts center in our front gallery. The colorful display will warm your heart and give the public an opportunity to see the tiny bundles of love currently available for adoption. Much like our 2018 exhibit, “Affectionate Indifference,” the new installation will offer a glimpse into the lives of the kittens while facilitating their adoption through the Lawrence Humane Society.

The kittens will inhabit their city beginning Friday, November 13. To keep our new residents safe, we will only be allowing in-person viewing from outside the building, but no worries if you can’t make it to the 900 block of New Hampshire Street. This year’s Kitty City exhibit will feature a live “Kitty Cam,” which will provide 24-hour viewing access so you won’t miss a single moment! Be sure to check our website in the coming week to see the new residents in action.
