“Our previous dog, Kira, was also adopted at LHS. She passed away in May, a couple months after COVID started. We were so sad, and there were so many other things to grieve like not being able to see family and not having a commencement after I finished graduate school. We thought we’d wait awhile to consider adopting a pet, but after a couple weeks, we decided we needed a little joy in our lives, and we found Karma. She is a very good girl! She adjusted quickly, and is doing great. She helps us keep those pesky pandemic pounds off with daily walks, throwing the ball (over and over and over again) and running crazily through the house for no (apparent) reason. She has been so affectionate, and that’s helped, because this year has been rough. We are so lucky she found us!”
