Kiba is a 7 year old fawn and white English Bulldog mix. He has done quite the travelling before reaching Lawrence Humane Society, where previously his owner surrendered him due to the size of his home. After he was surrendered, he was quickly placed in a foster home until June 3rd, 2025, where he arrived at Lawrence Humane Society and has been waiting for a new home ever since! 

Taking Kiba out for Mass Street Mutts was a break from the loud and stressful shelter environment. It was unexpected for him, but once leaving the humane society, he was quite excited to go for a walk on Mass St. Leaving the humane society, there is a backpack with ample supplies such as a leash, wipes, and some snacks for the dog just in case they get hungry.

 Starting out the journey near the Cold Stone location in Lawrence, Kiba began his trek quite energetically, keeping a good walking pace for about 10 minutes before he finally stopped to smell some of the flowers on the corner and interact with nearby humans. He mostly enjoyed walking up to little children and letting them pet him, which he was very fond of. As the hour went on, he stopped a couple times to sit down and patiently waited to receive some snacks and treats. He also became curious and interacted with other dogs throughout the walk. Kiba weighs 77 pounds, but despite his size, it was quite easy walking him and keeping up with his adventurous personality, he took direction very well and was excited about many aspects of the walk. 

After a while, he found a grassy, shady area where he wanted to sit and relax since the day was so hot and sunny. He enjoyed receiving snacks, sitting and smelling the grass and trees as well as watching nearby traffic go by peacefully. After this, he was loaded back up into the car and felt the breeze with his head out the window on the way back to the humane society. He was patient to get out of the car as all his gear was being gathered, but soon enough he was back home revitalized and refreshed!
