Macy's First Day Home!
Macy’s first day out of the Lawrence Humane Society as an adopted pet has seemed to be a hit! After being adopted on July 21st, her new owner MJ Domann, describes her experience as extremely favorable. After her last day at the humane society, she went home to discover her new backyard, falling in love with all the shrubs, trees, and even the weeds! Since the day was almost done and it was quite the eventful day for her, she hit her new dog bed by 8:30 and fell asleep in her home for the first time.
After a cozy night, it was back to exploring the yard in her new home and getting familiar with the grass. Domann states she’s got quite the nose on her too. “I’m glad she’s too big to get under the deck because I think she’s got the scent of the possum that lives there,” said Domann.
After coming in from the yard, the fun continued, as Macy and her new owner caught up and played some catch with her new toys. Soon after they continued playing in a game of tug of war with her new stuffed animal toy. Although it’s only been a day, Domann is confident that him and Macy will be getting along just fine together for the future to come.
“It’s probably too early to say this, but we seem to be settling in very well,” said Domann.
