Pillow is a friendly, affectionate, and independent pup with bursts of playful energy typical of her age. She's a big snuggler who enjoys the safety and comfort of sitting close to her humans. Her blindness doesn't hold her back from being a typical puppy in many ways! Pillow quickly learns the layout of her environment, locating her food, water, toys, and safe spaces with ease. While she can't see, Pillow's other senses are sharp. She listens intently to unfamiliar sounds and responds to verbal cues. Pillow's foster mom uses compassionate, engaging methods to help her navigate the world. When Pillow successfully locates her, she enthusiastically celebrates with verbal praise like "You found your Mama!" This positive reinforcement helps build Pillow's confidence and strengthens their bond. To guide Pillow's movement, her foster mom gently leads her by the hand under her snout - similar to how one might guide a person by the hand. These loving, intentional interactions help Pillow learn spatial awareness and feel secure in her environment.
