Appointments are fully booked for this event!

Lawrence Humane is a member of the Spay & Neuter Collaborative of Kansas City (SNCKC), which is a group of animal welfare organizations working together to combat pet overpopulation in the KC area by offering FREE spay/neuter clinics. Our next community-wide clinic will be held the weekend of March 8-10 with several slots available each day at Lawrence Humane.

If you do NOT see available slots, that means we are full for this event. We offer low-cost spay/neuter services on an ongoing basis to the public. If this SNCKC event does not work for you, please click here to schedule a low-cost spay/neuter appointment at your convenience.

Appointments are full for dog spay/neuters during the SNCKC event. Next available surgery appointments are in May. Please schedule a low-cost appointment here!

When you come to Lawrence Humane Society to spay or neuter your pet, you’ll only have to make one visit. There is no pre-surgical procedure and you do not need to come back for stitch removal, as we use fully dissolvable sutures. You will be able to leave with your dog or cat the same day you bring them!

Cats and dogs must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh a minimum of 2 lbs. to be spayed/neutered.

Please do not feed your cat or dog after midnight the night before your appointment.

Cats must arrive in a pet carrier.  If you do not have a pet carrier, you may borrow or purchase one from Lawrence Humane’s Pet Resource Center in advance of your pet’s appointment.
