Shadow started life as a feral kitten, afraid of anything and everything even vaguely human related. Although his sister quickly decided that this whole 'indoor living' thing is actually pretty awesome, Shadow needed a lot more convincing. His foster knows the magic of a patient, consistent routine, though, including soft music and lickable treats. (LOTS of lickables!) Not only did he finally decide that petting and brushing are definitely Good Things, he also found his massive purr! While he still doesn't love being picked up, he does love soft beds on sunny window sills, soft pets, and head smooches. If you've got a quiet home and are looking for a cat to help you keep track of all the sunny spots, Shadow just might be your guy. You can meet him at Lawrence Humane any day during regular adoption hours. You provide the head kisses and lickables and he'll provide the purrs!
