BEST time at the 2nd annual Mullie Classic Golf Tournament on Monday, April 29! 
Surrounded by crazy Kansas spring weather days, we were lucky enough to get a ton of sunshine and very little wind for this 4-person scramble at Lawrence Country Club! 19 teams of 76 golfers joined us for a fun-filled day of gorgeous golf, contests galore, great drinks, delicious food, and joyous camaraderie. Not only did we have an AMAZING time but we also raised $23,908 for the animals that come through our doors!
The Mullie Classic was inspired by Mulligan, a puppy that arrived at Lawrence Humane with a severely broken jaw. We were able to get her the specialty surgery she needed in order for her jaw to heal and she is now a thriving adult dog in a loving home, living her best life!
And while Mullie was our first puppy with a broken jaw, she was not the last! Since then we’ve also had Koko and Georgia – both two-month old puppies – come to Lawrence Humane with broken jaws. Events like the Mullie Classic help us raise the money we need to serve ALL of the animals who come through our doors, no matter how severe or challenging their situations might be. And we are so, so grateful to everyone in our community who contributes, participates, and attends our events! YOU are the reason that we can help Mullie, Koko, Georgia, and all of their pals!
